Urge

Squirt boat designer, Eric Zitzow’s latest offering has the potential to turn the squirt world on its head. The Urge was inspired by technology and not tradition. By increasing the fun and comfort a whole new world of boating will open up for a new generation that has never even seen a glass boat.

This new boat is the shortest squirt ever made at 7 feet even. The rocker profile goes against the norm with 6 inches of rocker in the bow and 5 inches in the stern. At 24 inches wide at it widest point just fore of the cockpit it provides a stable platform for learning newbies.

It is widely know that different shapes affect performance in various ways, but the most important element is the overall size and volume. This boat has it where it counts-or we should say doesn’t have it where it counts. With shortened aspect ratio and rockered ends you can actually surf small waves again, and even spin with the ample surface area. When you are done surfing go ahead and do a meltdown on your way out because this boat goes down for a mystery move smoothly and with ease. The chines offer a soft enough transition to allow smooth sinking. The chines are also far enough from the outside edge to allow water to wrap at the lower velocities found while entering a mystery move.
